  I went for a massage for my birthday yesterday, which was a thoughtful gift from my husband. My masseuse seemed like a very kind person. However, the massage went only for 45 minutes even though I paid for a 60 minute massage, and although I asked for medium pressure, and then asked for an increase in pressure, sometimes it felt like she was just gently rubbing my skin- definitely not getting any muscles. I was very surprised, as I've never had a massage like this before. I think potentially the masseuse was also ill, because she seemed to be sniffing and sucking a lozenge throughout the process. I wrote on my form that I have an autoimmune disease, so probably at that stage, if she was sick, she should have given me the opportunity to wait for another day when she was well. It was too late by the time I realised.

  I finally got time to use my Christmas present - a gift voucher at Endota Macquarie. It just smelled divine inside the relaxation lounge while I was waiting for the treatment. I had the Surrender Spa package which was half relaxation massage and half organic facial. The therapist, Supraja, was really nurturing. I loved the facial products so much that I ended up buying the cleanser and moisturiser she recommended. Fantastic present - I loved it, and will ask for another gift voucher for my birthday.

  Overall I would not recommend Endota Spa Macquarie to anyone- it was actually one of the most disappointing massages I've had.

  EDIT: Endota spa kindly contacted me about my poor review and offered another massage. This time the masseuse was not ill, she listened when I asked for more pressure, and it was closer to an hour. I left very relaxed. The staff were all accomodating and friendly. A nice place for a massage.

  Went there for a massage on my lunch break, paid $75 for a 30 minute back massage, for $75 i would expect an amazing massage, was no different to a $30 massage, literally done the same thing for all 30 minutes, overall i wouldnt recommend to anyone, is not worth the money at all, very disappointed with what i received.

  The therapist today was lovely and it was a really good experience until when leaving I was informed that the Chatswood spa had redeemed my voucher and if I didn't pay, the Macquarie shop would lose out. So I ended up paying for my gift. The lady I dealt with was embarrassed and said that as they were independent franchises there was no way they could claim the money from Chatswood. I was offered a $25 discount off future treatments but it left such a sour taste in my mouth, I doubt I'll ever be back.

  Today I redeemed a facial voucher gifted to me by my niece. I had previously booked at Endota Chatswood Chase, but had to cancel. I took great pains to continue calling the Chatswood spa, as I had been made aware of their cancellation policy, and finally spoke to somebody who assured me that all was well and that I could redeem my voucher at another time.
